Job summary

Independence Construction is seeking a hands-on Superintendent to lead daily field operations on commercial projects in Ohio. You will manage staffing, coordinate subcontractors, and drive site safety programs to ensure on-time, quality delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in construction management with 3+ years as an assistant superintendent on commercial projects, plus strong communication and organizational skills. On-site work with competitive pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Five (5)+ years in construction management with at least 3 years as an assistant superintendent on commercial projects.
• Adept at communicating with all levels internal and external.
• Able to write reports and professional correspondence.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CM software (Procore, P6).
• Knowledge of construction delivery systems.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• First Aid/CPR certification within past 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and managing field staffing and support.
• Managing day-to-day site activities on the project.
• Preparing and updating project schedules with subcontractors and project manager.
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers to meet schedules.
• Developing Site Safety Plans with Safety Manager and reviewing monthly.
• Inspecting work for conformance to specs and safety standards.
