Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Kansas City, MO, seeks an Automatic Press Operator for the Z shift (5:00 PM–5:00 AM, Fri–Sun). The role requires operating large presses, loading coils, and performing quality checks while using Plex ERP to document results.

Qualified candidates have at least one year in manufacturing, basic English, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. The plant emphasizes safety, teamwork, and ownership through ESOP benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties.
• Must be able to read and interpret job element sheets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor up to 1,000 ton automatic presses to ensure quality stampings per standards.
• Reference production orders in Plex to stamp per JES.
• Load correct coils in stamping press to produce quality parts.
• Perform on-line quality checks and record data in Plex.
• Visually inspect parts per quality standards and address issues.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work area.
• Cross-train on other work centers as needed.
• Complete paperwork and hourly count boards.
