Job summary

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is seeking an ELL Course Facilitator to deliver high-quality English language instruction to adult learners across proficiency levels. The role supports reading, writing, listening, and speaking development aligned with MA ELPS, and emphasizes student-centered, differentiated instruction with technology integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English, Education, or closely related field required; master's degree, licensure, and TESOL certification preferred.
• Experience teaching English language learners or adult learners, including online instruction.
• Availability to teach in person at either the Chelsea or Charlestown campus.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate engaging, student-centered learning environments.
• Proficiency with instructional technology and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Align curriculum with MA ELPS and program learning outcomes.
• Implement approved curriculum and adapt resources as needed.
• Use instructional technology and maintain attendance, assessments, and documentation.
• Stay current with research and best practices in adult education.
• Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
• Collaborate with leadership and staff for curriculum alignment and student success.
• Attend meetings and contribute to planning and development activities.
• Participate in curriculum alignment, assessment calibration, and improvement activities.
• Attend professional development workshops and trainings.
