Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Experience in adult education learning practices and standards.
• At least 2 years of successful experience within the last 5 years in providing adult literacy services to low-income adults.
• Experience educating groups at multiple class levels and experience with testing.
• Engaging personality and detailed-oriented skills are essential.
• Strong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills are necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other standard business technology is required.

Responsibilities

• Educate adults learning English to Speakers of Languages (ESOL).
• Plan daily lessons and use a variety of tools to help students become proficient English speakers.
• Take student attendance daily and administer tests as needed.
• Complete progress notes monthly.
• Help with registration and organize student files.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
