Responsibilities

Interpret and implement the student's IEP.
Maintain a classroom environment conducive to the attainment of IEP goals.
Report promptly to the site administrator any serious illness or accident affecting students.
Report promptly to the site administrator any job-related factors which prevent full duties.
Maintain current records of students as required by the MDUSD Special Education Program.
Direct the Special Education Instructional Aide in completing assigned tasks.
Participate in completing annual IEP reviews for each student.
Communicate with parents regarding IEP implementation.
Maintain conditions and practices in the classroom for students' health.
Participate in policy-making processes and curriculum revisions in Special Education.
