Job summary

San Francisco Unified School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support Resource Specialist Programs (RSP) and Special Day Classes (SDC). The role emphasizes collaborative planning, data-based instruction, and direct service to diverse learners across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Special Education Credential with Autism and EL authorization, with experience in IEPs, SSTs, and inclusive practices within urban schools.

Qualifications

• Valid Special Education Credential with Autism and English Learner Authorization required.
• Bachelor’s degree, including all courses to meet credential requirements.
• Knowledge of IDEA, compliant IEP practices, and best practices for instructional strategies, modifications and accommodations.
• Two years’ successful instructional experience in a special education role.
• Be able to travel to multiple sites during the day/week.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Student Success Teams concerning learning strategies and modifications.
• Attend SST meetings as requested by the SST team.
• Conduct formal and informal educational assessments in accordance with district/state/federal requirements.
• Deliver instruction according to the core curriculum and standards in RSP/SDC settings.
• Attend IEP meetings for RSP/SDC students and maintain required documentation.
