Hours are December 2026 through February 2027, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:05-4:20 PM, totaling 42 hours per teacher. Compensation is $57.85 per hour, 100% Title III funded.

Qualifikationen

• Possess New Jersey ESL teaching certification.
• Be employed by Hackensack Public Schools; elementary ESL experience preferred.
• Demonstrate a record of excellent performance in tutorial teaching.
• Use assessment data to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
• Know the WIDA English Language Development Standards.
• Demonstrate differentiated instruction for ELD, ELA, and math.
• Meet diverse learners' needs in an inclusive environment.
• Willing to implement prescribed instructional approaches with fidelity.
• Maintain an excellent attendance record and fulfill responsibilities.

Aufgaben

• Plan and deliver rigorous, targeted instruction that supports students' academic achievement and English language development.
• Provide whole-group, small-group, and individualized instruction aligned with WIDA and NJ standards.
• Use ACCESS scores, benchmark assessments, and ongoing formative assessment data to identify learning needs and monitor progress.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to accelerate academic and language development for students below grade level.
• Establish a structured, supportive learning environment that promotes positive behavior and engagement.
• Maintain accurate and timely lesson plans and student progress records using templates.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding progress, attendance, and behavior.
• Demonstrate reliability with attendance and adherence to program expectations.
