Job summary

JM Test Systems LLC is seeking an ESL- Rubber Technician to join our Electrical Safety Lab. You will test, inspect, and certify high-voltage PPE to ensure ASTM standards are met and worker safety is maintained.

No prior experience is required as in-house training is provided, working alongside our Lab Manager, Assistant Manager, and Lead Technicians. This role is an excellent entry point for someone mechanically inclined and eager to learn a specialized trade in electrical safety testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Stand at a workbench for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Lab setting experience with a team.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and precise testing.
• Ability to work independently after training.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily job assignments and prioritize testing work.
• Visually inspect PPE for service needs.
• Clean PPE by hand or machine per ASTM standards.
• Perform dielectric testing and record results.
• Certify PPE by verifying ASTM compliance.
• Stamp test dates and document equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assist experienced technicians as you learn.
• Represent JM Test Systems professionally and deliver customer service.

About the Role

JM Test Systems is looking for an ESL- Rubber Technician to join ourElectrical Safety Lab. In this role, you'll test, clean, inspect, and certify highvoltage personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure it meets ASTM standardsand keeps electrical workers safe on the job. No prior experience is required;full training is provided in-house, working alongside our Lab Manager,Assistant Manager, and Lead Technicians.

What You'll Do

• Receivedaily job assignments and prioritize testing work accordingly
• Visuallyinspect PPE (rubber gloves, sleeves, blankets, and related equipment) toidentify service needs
• CleanPPE by hand or machine according to ASTM standards and manufacturerspecifications
• Performdielectric testing and record pass/fail resultsCollect,compile, and record accurate test data for all recordkeeping requirements
• CertifyPPE by verifying it meets ASTM performance standards
• Stamptest dates and complete documentation for equipment returned to customers
• Keepyour work area clean, organized, and ready for new assignments
• Trainless experienced technicians as you gain experience
