Job summary

Brooke Charter Schools seeks a Multilingual Learner Coordinator - ESL Teacher for 2027-2028 in Boston, MA. You will coordinate ESL services and provide direct instruction to small groups, developing clear English proficiency goals and tracking progress to meet state requirements.

Collaborating with teachers, you will ensure sheltered content instruction, oversee redesignation assessments, monitor EML students, and maintain ML records in line with DESE guidelines. July 2027 start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a valid Massachusetts ESL teaching license.
• Experience after at least 2 years as a lead teacher.
• Commitment to fostering diversity by cultivating anti-racist practices and removing bias.
• Professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues.
• Start date in July 2027.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ESL services and provide direct instruction to small groups.
• Develop English language proficiency goals and track progress to meet them.
• Assist coordinating and administering state-mandated and ML identification assessments.
• Coordinate redesignation assessments and monitor Exiting Multilingual Learner (EML) students.
• Maintain ML records in compliance with DESE regulations.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure high-quality sheltered content instruction.
