Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking an ELT Instructor in Wichita, KS to deliver integrated English language training to non-native speakers, manage class activities, and support client employability. You will tailor curricula, assess language progress, and coordinate with the Employment Caseworker to help clients achieve their goals.

Responsibilities include administering assessments, maintaining documentation for funding and program quality, and delivering instruction both

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, social services, or related field; graduate degree preferred but not required.
• English language instruction certification required and TESOL certification strongly preferred.
• Experience teaching ESL; 2+ years preferred; experience with immigrant populations recommended.

Responsibilities

• Deliver integrated ELT instruction tailored to mixed-level classes.
• Prepare curricula and lesson plans; integrate job skills, digital literacy and life skills.
• Record attendance, assess progress, and report outcomes to supervisors.
• Coordinate with Employment Caseworker to support client goals.
