Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 48 college hours or an Associate's Degree.
• SBEC Paraprofessional Certification or eligible.
• Highly Qualified under NCLB standards.
• Eligible to obtain Certification to administer OLPT in English or Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine clerical duties for ESL teachers.
• Assist ESL teacher in preparing instructional materials and displays.
• Assist with OLPT and LPAC tests as assigned.
• Maintain a neat and orderly ELL classroom.
• Care for and maintain technology used in the ELL classroom.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Keep administrative records and reports for teachers.
• Work with small groups of ELL students on instructional exercises.
• Assist in classroom management and supervision of ELL students.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
