Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an ESH Training Specialist in Chandler, AZ to deliver comprehensive training within the Environmental, Safety, and Health discipline on complex projects. You will implement training plans, work with subject matter experts, and promote best practices to advance safety culture.

The role requires strong communication skills, experience building training programs, and the ability to operate in a construction field environment with diverse work shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) related to ESH disciplines or training and development with 4 years of relevant technical and teaching experience; or an Associate's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; or 6+ years relevant experience.
• Demonstrated interest, training, and experience in applied sciences and workplace training.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices; experience developing training programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with diverse training methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging training sessions outlining safe practices and compliance.
• Design programs tailored to real-world safety challenges.
• Coordinate ESH learning, training, and awareness activities for the ESH program.
• Evaluate and improve training effectiveness to keep workforce engaged.
• Collaborate with teams to embed safety into operations.
• Implement the project ESH Training Plan and ESH courses per Bechtel standards.
• Develop and review training materials with SMEs and subject-matter experts.
• Teach instructor-led courses, hands-on training, and in-field demonstrations.
