Job summary

PwC in Chicago is seeking a Sustainability R&A Intern to support projects that enhance the credibility of ESG disclosures within our Assurance practice. You will assist with data gathering, analysis, and preparing sustainability reports while learning PwC methodologies and contributing to client engagements.

You will focus on developing a learning mindset, listening actively, and expressing ideas clearly as you gain exposure to PwC's sustainability practices and team workflows.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Sustainable Resource Management, Environmental Science or Finance.
• Typical intern level; candidates are usually in their 3rd year or 4th year of a 4-5 year program.
• GPA: at least 3.0 overall.

Responsibilities

• Support ESG data gathering and analysis to inform sustainability reporting.
• Assist in preparing sustainability reports aligned with GRI/TCFD standards.
• Help evaluate climate finance and nature finance mechanisms.
• Contribute to data modeling and analysis for performance insights.
• Collaborate on materiality assessments to prioritize ESG issues.
• Observe auditors and learn PwC's assurance processes.
• Support development of technical solutions for reporting improvements.
• Apply a learning mindset and ask questions to contribute to projects.
• Develop professional skills and build personal brand within PwC.
