Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking a Sustainability Assurance & Consulting Intern in Colorado to support ESG data collection, validation, and reporting. You will work with a team to help clients meet ESG goals, contribute to assurance procedures, and assist in corporate reporting under major ESG frameworks.

The role emphasizes fast-paced collaboration, initiative, and attention to detail, with travel up to 20%. A bachelor’s in accounting or related field and CPA licensure eligibility are preferred,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business discipline with a focus on sustainability, climate and ESG preferred.
• Must be working toward CPA licensure eligibility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Offices suite.
• Ability to travel up to 20%
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)
• Experience with external financial or sustainability assurance (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Coordinating with clients, co-workers, and partners for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) implementation assurance and reporting
• Collaborating in establishing data-driven ESG goals, milestones, and metrics as applicable for the client's organization
• Performing sustainability-related assurance procedures such as evaluating and testing processes and related controls
• Supporting corporate reporting in line with recognized ESG standards and frameworks such as GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, SASB, CDP
• Participating in client meetings and assisting in the preparation of reports
• Delivering Forvis Mazars' commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients.
