Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking a Sustainability Assurance & Consulting Intern to support ESG data collection, validation, and reporting for a growing client base. You will work with a team to develop metrics and assist in delivering ESG communications while learning industry standards and frameworks.

You will engage in client meetings, contribute to reports, and gain exposure to GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, SASB, and CDP practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or related business discipline with a focus on sustainability, climate and ESG preferred.
• Must be working toward CPA licensure eligibility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients, colleagues, and partners for ESG implementation assurance and reporting.
• Help establish data-driven ESG goals, milestones, and metrics for the client.
• Perform sustainability assurance procedures, evaluating and testing controls.
• Support corporate reporting per ESG standards (GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, SASB, CDP).
• Participate in client meetings and assist in report preparation.
