Wayne State University is seeking a motivated Sustainability Reporting Intern to support ESG reporting initiatives. This paid internship offers hands-on experience with CDP and EcoVadis frameworks.

You will gather data from internal stakeholders, assist in CDP/EcoVadis responses, review policies, and help develop metrics, narratives, and documentation to meet reporting deadlines. This is ideal for students or recent grads pursuing sustainability, environmental science, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in sustainability, environmental science, business, engineering, public policy, or related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and research abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize, and analyze sustainability data from internal stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing responses for CDP and EcoVadis assessments.
• Review existing sustainability policies, procedures, and supporting documents.
• Research ESG best practices, reporting standards, and industry benchmarks.
• Identify documentation gaps and recommend improvements.
• Support development of sustainability metrics, narratives and evidence for submissions.
• Maintain organized records and project documentation.
• Collaborate with project lead to meet reporting deadlines.
