Job summary

ERM is a leading sustainability consultancy seeking a Managing Consultant, Transaction Advisory (Mergers & Acquisitions) to guide complex investments for infrastructure investors, private equity firms, lenders, and energy companies across the United States. You will lead ESG and EHS due diligence, mentor consulting teams, and partner with ERM’s global experts to deliver actionable insights and value.

This role supports travel to major markets including New Orleans, LA, with a base salary range

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, climate science, environmental science, geology, or related field.
• 4+ years (10+ years preferred) of environmental consulting experience focusing on due diligence.
• Strong project management and leadership with cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to write due diligence reports.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS and ESG due diligence projects for buy-side and sell-side deals.
• Manage multi-disciplinary consulting teams and client relationships.
• Assist in proposal writing and capture new business opportunities.
• Analyze environmental, health, safety risks and sustainability factors.
• Collaborate across regions and ERM partners to ensure project delivery.
