Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience managing business/department functions and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan individually or cooperatively a program of study meeting students’ needs and abilities.
• Assist in establishing department objectives and curriculum development.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for student maturity.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals and communicate objectives to students.
• Use appropriate instructional methods and materials to meet objectives.
• Assess student progress and provide reports as required.
• Diagnose learning strengths/weaknesses and seek district support when needed.
• Counsel with colleagues, students, and parents regularly.
• Support policies/ rules governing student life and classroom conduct.
• Plan and supervise assignments for support personnel and volunteers.
• Use technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with laws and district regulations.
• Adhere to ethics and participate in district school improvement efforts.
• Identify and respond to indicators of student distress or abuse.
• Establish testing environment and ensure test security.
