The School District of Lee County is seeking a Specialist Behavior, ESE at Tortuga Preserve Elementary School in Lehigh Acres, FL. The role focuses on delivering instructional and behavioral support to ESE staff and students, with emphasis on PBIPs, FBAs, data collection, and collaboration with IEP teams to ensure effective behavioral interventions.

Responsibilities include staff development, Medicaid claim activities, crisis support, and ensuring inclusive practices across classrooms.

Competenze

• Three years of Highly Effective/Effective teaching experience in ESE.
• I> Valid Florida teaching certificate in Exceptional Student Education (ESE).
• Experience managing business/department functions and staff preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to the ESE team.
• Evaluate and report on functional behavior assessments.
• Guide IEP teams in PBIPs and FBAs.
• Collaborate to design individual behavior systems.
• Provide staff development on behavioral interventions.
• Assist with data collection/analysis and behavior observations.
• Medicaid administrative claims activities per SDAC Guide.
• Assist general education teachers with modifications and accommodations.
• Collaborate to create schedules for social skills instruction.
• Support crisis management for students in danger.
• Facilitate inclusion and act as parent/school/community liaison.
• Attend monthly behavior specialist meetings.
• Maintain de-escalation and physical intervention certification.
• Provide guidance on instructional and behavioral techniques.
