First American in Ohio is seeking an Escrow Officer to join our in-office team at the New Albany location. You will manage real estate escrow accounts, handle funds, and prepare closings with attention to policy and accuracy.

You will serve as a neutral liaison, ensure compliance, and prioritize a smooth customer experience while collaborating with internal teams to close transactions efficiently.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of escrow-related experience.
• Experience directly handling escrow transactions.
• Openness to new technology and proprietary programs; adjusts easily to new workflow.
• Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with both our internal team and external customers; comfortable using various types of communication to meet customer needs.
• Problem solver with strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and knows how to navigate resources to resolve issues.
• Thrives in contributing to a team delivering beyond customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements.
• Act as a neutral liaison between file parties, adhere to company policy, and monitor and mitigate risk to the company.
• Responsible for ensuring that all funds are properly accounted for and disbursed in accordance with the terms of the contract and our policy.
• Prepare regular reports on the status of the escrow account and provide these reports to the parties involved.
• Examine property titles, mortgages, and trust deed documents.
• Prepare legal documents for the closure of the sale.
• Complete closing by recording and filing documents, preparing, and distributing final closing statements and title.
