Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience as an Escrow Officer or a Closing Coordinator is preferred.
• Practical work experience in a mortgage loan department is expected.
• Knowledge of real estate titles and deed preparation is required.
• Advanced computer skills with Microsoft software products are essential.
• Ability to multitask and strong communication skills are important.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the closing of files within required timelines and manage finalization steps.
• Prepare and ensure accuracy of closing documents per state requirements and client instructions.
• Monitor and prioritize work-in-progress reports to meet two-hour turnaround times.
• Review title commitments for clearance and ensure items are updated (payoffs, taxes, HOA).
• Secure lender, seller, and broker approvals of loan closing documents.
• Confirm closing dates, location, required documentation, and funds due.
• Address inquiries from clients, asset managers, and internal staff; resolve vendor billing issues.
• Cut checks and wire funds to sellers within client timelines; maintain file setup and disbursements.
• Attend bi-weekly team meetings and ensure timely, professional communication.
