Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams).
  • 2+ years of experience in escrow preferred.
  • Bi-lingual – Spanish (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with escrow software and standard office software, such as Microsoft Office and Adobe.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Escrow Officer in managing transactions, including opening and closing escrow accounts, preparing documents, and processing payments.
  • Communicate with title insurance representatives, insurance company representatives, loan officer, escrow processors and team members, title company, real estate agents, and clients to assist escrow officer in the closing process
  • Review and audit all closing documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Input, access, and retrieve data relevant to closings timely and accurately.
  • Read all contracts, commitments, and lender closing instructions to complete them in a timely fashion to ensure escrow closing
  • Maintain proper accounting procedures when depositing and removing earnest money funds and final disbursement from the escrow account
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties for escrow officer to complete escrow transactions and necessary follow-up requests
  • Prepare closing documents such as settlement statements, escrow files, and closing statements
  • Coordinate other pre-closing and post-closing responsibilities as directed
  • Managing customer queries. Communicate with clients, borrowers, and lenders to ensure a smooth and timely transaction.
  • Upload all necessary documents into document retention software and complete all required information.
  • Maintain records and ensure all documentation is properly filed and archived.
  • Perform various administrative duties as needed to support the Escrow Officer.
  • Other job duties as required.
