Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking an experienced Environmental Safety & Health professional to implement corporate, field, and site safety policies across multiple U.S. project sites.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in ESH or related field with 5+ years of experience, strong OSHA/MSHA knowledge, and ACC/ICRA credentials preferred. Expect extensive travel and leadership in safety program development and training.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety & Health or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of ESH experience in construction or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA regulations is required.
• Accreditations such as CHST/ASP/CSP/ICRA are preferred.
• Ability to travel extensively across the U.S. (project sites).
• Basic Spanish language communication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety practices across multiple project sites and internal teams.
• Develop and enforce safety programs, audits, and corrective actions.
• Review regulatory guidance and provide technical safety interpretations.
• Lead safety trainings and ensure subcontractor OSHA/MSHA compliance.
• Interface with leadership, site supervision, and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor workers’ compensation issues and incident reporting processes.
• Travel regularly across the U.S. to support project deployments.
