Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an ESH professional to implement corporate and project-site safety policies across multiple U.S. sites. You will lead safety programs, conduct audits, and guide teams toward incident-free project delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Environmental Safety & Health, 5+ years of ESH experience, knowledge of OSHA/MSHA/DOT/EPA rules, and travel across the U.S. Accreditations like CHST/ASP/CSP/ICRA are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety & Health or related field.
• 5+ years of ESH experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA regulations.
• Accreditations preferred: CHST, ASP, CSP, ICRA.
• Ability to travel extensively across the U.S. as project needs dictate.
• Industrial hygiene knowledge and best practices.
• Skilled communicator—verbal and written presentations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Champion safety standards across internal teams, partners, and customers.
• Uphold safety culture by ensuring honesty, unity, safety and quality of work.
• Oversee project safety programs and relevant risk management initiatives.
• Provide regulatory review, interpretation, and technical guidance.
• Review audits and injury statistics to identify risks and improve programs.
• Coordinate incident reviews and preventive measures with project teams.
• Interface with leadership, site supervision, subcontractors, and agencies (OSHA, EPA, MSHA).
• Carry out training to support Safety 360 and OSHA/MSHA compliance.
• Travel regularly across the U.S. to assigned projects.
