Zusammenfassung

Layton Construction is seeking an experienced ESH leader to implement corporate, field, and office safety policies across multiple project sites in the U.S. You will oversee safety programs, regulatory interpretation, and incident reviews while traveling to project locations.

Strong collaboration with leadership and subcontractors is essential to maintaining a safe work environment. The role requires 5+ years in ESH, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and EPA

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety & Health or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of ESH experience required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA regulations.
• Accreditations preferred: CHST, ASP, CSP, ICRA.
• Ability to travel extensively across the U.S. as project needs dictate.
• Basic Spanish language communication preferred.

• Champion safety excellence by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external partners, and customers.
• Uphold the company values of honesty, unity, safety and quality of work across sites.
• Establish and reinforce safety culture with project teams and subcontractors across multiple U.S. sites.
• Manage safety programs on all assigned projects, including CCIP and other risk initiatives.
• Provide regulatory interpretation and technical guidance.
• Review safety tools, processes, policies, and training for continuous improvement.
• Monitor accident statistics and propose structured safety programs.
• Share data with leadership to develop corporate safety trends.
• Monitor new legislation affecting safety policies and propose updates.
• Oversee incident reviews and ensure accident prevention measures are followed.
• Oversee monthly audit programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
• Implement training to support Safety 360 and OSHA/MSHA compliance.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings addressing project safety needs.
• Ensure timely accident reporting and preventive actions.
• Support injury management and cost control.
• Develop and oversee project-specific safety programs.
• Supervise safe behavior of craft workers and staff on sites.
• Interface with leaders, supervision, subcontractors and government agencies (OSHA, EPA, MSHA).
• Travel regularly across the U.S. to assigned projects, supporting short- and long-term deployments.
