Job summary

Anduril Industries in Reston, VA, seeks an Environmental Safety and Health Associate Manager, Policies and Procedures to govern ESH documentation lifecycle, policies, and standards. You will partner with ESH SMEs, Legal, Operations, and Communications to manage reviews, ensure regulatory alignment, and drive clear, compliant documentation across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical writing, document management, ESH, quality systems, or regulated industries.
• Experience supporting Environmental, Health & Safety management systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar regulatory frameworks.
• Experience writing policies, procedures, and management system documentation.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional document review and approvals.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience with document management systems and version control.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Own the development, maintenance, and governance of all ESH documentation and materials.
• Translate complex requirements into clear, user-friendly documentation.
• Establish documentation standards, templates, version control, and processes.
• Ensure documentation reflects current regulatory requirements and practices.
• Lead writing efforts for new and revised ESH policies and procedures.
• Interview subject matter experts to capture requirements and processes.
• Edit and proofread for technical accuracy and compliance.
• Develop job aids, FAQs, quick reference guides, and training docs.
• Coordinate with Communications for rollout strategies across locations.
• Drive document accessibility through IT tools like Confluence and Box.
• Coordinate cross-functional review cycles and approvals.
• Track revisions and implementation timelines.
• Support audits with documentation and evidence of controls.
• Manage the entire document lifecycle from creation to retirement.
• Monitor review schedules and ensure timely updates.
• Suggest updates based on regulatory changes and audits.
• Support DoD/regulated environment documentation as needed.
