Job summary

The Regional Engineering Supervisor will support the Senior Engineering Manager with managing the Engineering Studies and Protection and Controls businesses. This role reports to the Senior Engineering Manager for execution and leads all efforts to maintain and grow the business units.

You will lead a team of Engineers, work with Service Center Managers and Sales to grow pipeline, drive orders, forecast accurately, review backlog, and mentor staff. Travel is approximately 25%.

Qualifications

Technical degree and/or equivalent industry experience required.
10 years of Vertiv product knowledge.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Technical leadership and development skills.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Engineers focused on professional engineering services such as studies and protection and controls.
Drive pipeline growth by coordinating with Service Center Managers and Sales to generate orders and provide accurate forecasting.
Lead backlog reviews and ensure closure by accountable parties.
Mentor team members and provide learning opportunities.
Communicate project status and regional needs to stakeholders.
Routinely review costs and monitor margin performance.
Coordinate with Manila team for project execution or related tasks.
Ensure jobs are opened, assigned, and invoiced in a timely manner.

The Regional Engineering Supervisor will support the Senior Engineering Manager with managing the Engineering Studies and Protection and Controls businesses. The Regional Engineering Supervisor will report to the Senior Engineering Manager for execution and manage, coordinate, strategize and lead all efforts associated with maintaining and growing the business units.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Engineers focused on professional engineering services such as studies and protection and controls.
Will work closely with Service Center Managers and Sales to drive pipeline growth, execute orders to generate sales and provide accurate forecasting.
Will lead backlog reviews and hold applicable parties accountable for closure.
Assist Sales with customer meetings or communicating vital changes to project schedule.
Assist in project scope reviews and provide feedback for pricing.
Mentor team members and provide learning opportunities.
Effectively communicate with all stakeholders regarding financials, project status and regional needs.
Ensure that the team is properly trained and has the tools necessary to be successful.
Routinely review costs, including margin slippage to ensure we are suggesting and implementing measures to reduce.
Effectively monitor utilization and adjust as needed.
Work closely with the Manila Team to assist in project execution or handle other associated tasks.
Will work with our COE Admin and Service Center Managers to ensure jobs are opened, assigned correctly and invoiced in a timely manner.
Primary point of contact for the Service Centers regarding Engineering COE issues.
Perform Engineering study analysis and/or protection and controls work to assist the Team.
Other duties may be assigned by the Senior Engineering Manager as business needs change.
