Job summary

Pasco School District No. 1 is seeking an Instructional Paraeducator for Captain Gray Elementary ERR. The position runs on a 180-day calendar with duties including supporting instruction, behavior interventions, and student supervision under the teacher’s guidance.

The role requires ABA techniques use, AAC device modeling, CPI safety protocols, and collaboration with staff to maintain accurate records and provide inclusive support for students with special needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.
• Associates degree or higher or 72 college credits or ETS paraeducator required.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction and behavior interventions using ABA techniques as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Model AAC devices and other tools to encourage expressive/receptive communication.
• Use CPI safety techniques to ensure student safety and regulation.
• Deliver individualized or small group instruction and monitor student engagement.
• Assist with materials preparation, tests, and maintaining student records.
• Supervise and support students during arrival/departure, meals, recess, and transitions.
