Job summary

Columbia River Elementary in Pasco, WA is seeking an Instructional Paraeducator - Extended Resource Room (ERR) to support instruction and behavior interventions using ABA techniques under the classroom teacher. You will model AAC, DTT, and CPI-guided strategies, deliver small group and one-on-one instruction, assist with safety and daily routines, and help with materials and records.

This 180-day calendar position offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities for professional growth;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual and/or Biliterate (Spanish) preferred but not required.
• Must meet one: Associate degree or higher; 72 college credits; or passing ETS paraeducator assessment.
• Prior paraeducator experience or related work preferred but not required.
• First aid and/or CPR for infants/children or willing to obtain.
• CPI trained or willing to attend training.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction and behavior interventions using ABA techniques under teacher guidance.
• Model/encourage use of AAC devices and picture exchange systems.
• Use de-escalation strategies and follow behavior support plans for student safety.
• Deliver small group and one-on-one academic and functional instruction; monitor engagement.
• Administer basic first aid as needed and assist with classroom management.
• Prepare materials and assist with supervising students during transitions and activities.
