Job summary

The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Innovation and Technology (OIT) is hiring a Test Analyst to support the OPAL ERP and DW/BI project. You will focus on financial, grants, procurement, and supply chain testing within a SaaS ERP environment, coordinating with implementation consultants and City staff.

The role will involve initial user acceptance testing, training, and ongoing testing for new features released every 3 to 6 months.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in information systems, computer engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Technical expertise with data reporting tools and programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python; 3-5 years of experience with ERP systems, 3rd Party Applications and related integrations.
• Experience with implementing ERP and/or DW/BI solutions strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and support detailed test plans and strategies.
• Coordinate with development teams to ensure thorough testing of modules and applications.
• Work with functional and OIT counterparts to develop testing workflows, system, integration, user acceptance, and readiness deployment phases.
• Identify, log, and track defects.
• Debug and resolve software issues.
• Oversee quality assurance efforts.
• Ensure defined standards and processes for software or product testing.
• Provide feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
• Train the team in software testing best practice.
• Ensure compliance with general programming best practices, accepted web standards, and those set forth by upstream sources.
• Provide guidance and support to team members.
