Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking a System Analyst to support enterprise applications and business processes within Purchasing, Material, and Engineering Systems.

You will ensure data integrity across IBM AS/400 ERP modules and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions. The role includes modernization efforts, migrating legacy AS/400 systems to .NET/SQL Server platforms and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Degree in MIS, CS, SCM, or related technical/analytical field; advanced degree a plus.
• 1–3 years of experience in system analysis and system design.
• Prior experience in purchasing/procurement/material management systems preferred.
• Completed major projects showing ability to drive projects end-to-end with measurable results.
• Strong system analysis and design capabilities (e.g., database schema design, ER diagram analysis).
• Strong programming skills in RPG, SQL, Java, Python, C#, Go, or Node.js with solid DB experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and end users to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Maintain, support, and enhance ERP systems, including DB design and administration, with security and data privacy in mind.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and AS/400 applications using CLP, RPG, WebSmart, and Synon.
• Troubleshoot, test, deploy, and support applications across environments, addressing design, defects, data integrity, and processes.
• Monitor performance and exception reports; escalate critical issues for timely resolution.
• Support ERP modernization, including migration of legacy AS/400 apps to modern web-based platforms.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, system enhancements, and tooling upgrades.
• Provide technical support and user training; ensure effective adoption of enhancements.
• Create and maintain technical docs and system specs for knowledge sharing and maintenance.
• Review work requests, participate in team discussions, and deliver projects per SOPs.
• Participate in on-call support for after-hours production issues.
