Job description

Zehnder Group North America is seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager to lead the client side of a manufacturing-focused NetSuite implementation.

This is a contract opportunity for an experienced project leader who can manage the implementation from the client side and keep internal teams, implementation partners and vendors aligned through go-live.

Pay Rate: from $100/hr. + milestone bonusses

Work Arrangement: Hybrid or remote may be considered

Hours: 10-20 hours per week

Duration: Approximately 12 months

About the Role

This is not a NetSuite functional consultant or solution architect position.

The Project Manager will own the integrated project plan, project governance, meeting cadence, risks, dependencies, resource coordination, testing readiness, cutover planning and overall client-side accountability.

The role will coordinate internal business teams, IT resources, the NetSuite implementation partner and other third-party providers to ensure the implementation remains aligned with scope, schedule, business requirements and go-live readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the integrated project plan, milestones, critical path and dependencies
• Establish project governance, RAID logs, action tracking and decision management
• Lead project meetings and provide clear executive status reporting
• Hold internal stakeholders, implementation partners and vendors accountable for commitments
• Identify and proactively manage risks, resource constraints and dependencies
• Coordinate multiple workstreams and system integrations
• Coordinate UAT, testing, defect tracking and readiness
• Lead cutover and go-live preparation
• Challenge proposed customizations, scope changes and change orders
• Monitor project scope, schedule, budget and overall project health
• Support the transition from implementation to ongoing system ownership

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of project or program management experience
• Client-side leadership of at least two full-cycle ERP implementations through go-live
• Strong project governance, risk, critical-path and dependency management experience
• Proven ability to drive accountability across internal teams and external vendors
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and system integrations
• Experience with data migration, UAT, cutover and go-live
• ERP implementation experience in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of NetSuite or a comparable ERP platform
• Strong communication, organization and executive reporting skills
• Ability to work independently in a part-time contract environment

Preferred:

Prior NetSuite implementation experience, manufacturing/complex manufacturing experience, WMS/CPQ/integration experience, and PMP, PgMP or formal project-management methodology experience.

Some on-site presence at the Buffalo facility will be required, with greater involvement expected during planning, testing, cutover and go-live.
