Job summary

Metals USA Flat Rolled Group is seeking an accounting-focused professional to manage inventory costing, billing, and ERP workflows within a structured office environment. This role supports cost accounting, invoicing, and financial reporting while collaborating with multiple departments to ensure accuracy and timely processing.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in accounting or administrative roles, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; accounting-related coursework preferred.
• 1–2 years in accounting, billing, order entry, inventory or admin.
• Experience with inventory costing, job costing, ERP-based cost accounting.
• Order entry experience required; accuracy in high-volume, deadline-driven work.
• Proficient with Excel and ERP systems; strong numerical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive physical inventory and record PO receipts in ERP accurately.
• Calculate and record inventory costs from production and materials.
• Review POs, invoices, receiving records, and shipping docs for accuracy.
• Verify inventory quantities, material specs, production costs, and valuations.
• Maintain inventory accounting records and support valuation and reconciliation activities.
• Process sales invoices and support invoicing systems.
• Investigate and resolve billing inquiries, credits, and discrepancies.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and adjustments.
• Communicate irregularities and needs to internal teams.
• Provide data to Controller for timely reporting.
• Maintain attendance and compliance with policies.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Supplemental duties as assigned.
