Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounting Analyst in Michigan to support accounting operations, reporting, ERP processes, and automation initiatives. This role blends traditional accounting with data-driven workflow improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

You'll develop ERP-based reporting, analyze processes for automation opportunities, and partner with leadership to improve financial reporting and month-end close. Strong Excel, SQL, and BI skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• Experience in accounting, financial analysis, or ERP-focused accounting roles.
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, general ledger, and month-end processes.
• Experience working within an ERP environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Natural curiosity for systems, reporting, data, and process improvement.
• Ability to independently manage projects and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance financial, operational, and ERP-based reporting
• Analyze accounting processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements
• Support ERP functionality, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable automation initiatives
• Partner with accounting leadership to improve business processes and reporting capabilities
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, financial analysis, and general accounting activities
• Work with data, reports, and system-generated information to drive better business decisions
