Job summary

AirLife is seeking an Accounting Analyst in Grand Rapids, MI to analyze ERP and GL data, identify anomalies and trends, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.

The role supports month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting under GAAP, with automation and AI governance. Bachelor’s in accounting and 1–3 years’ experience required; SAP, Dynamics GP, OneStream, or Power BI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite required.
• Experience with SAP, Dynamics GP, OneStream, or Power BI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze ERP/GL data to identify anomalies and trends; investigate root causes and coordinate with IT to resolve issues and implement improvements.
• Lead process-improvement initiatives, including automation and AI tool adoption, and support AI governance within accounting.
• Prepare and post month-end journal entries; perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies; assist with closing and reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accruals and reserves are complete and data is accurate.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation and routine banking duties; assist with insurance requests.
• Support year-end audit and ensure compliance with internal controls and GAAP.
• Cross-train on other accounting functions for backup coverage.
• Conduct budget-vs-actual variance analysis and provide explanations.
