Job summary

The Erosion Company is hiring a Construction Crew Leader to manage a 2-3 person crew on erosion control projects across the Southeast. The role involves coordinating daily tasks, supervising crew members, ensuring safety, and reviewing work orders to guarantee materials and equipment are ready for each assignment.

Qualified candidates will have Foreman or Crew Lead experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license and three years of verifiable MVR.
• DOT Physical and Drug Screen required.
• Ability to understand/follow directions in English.
• Physically able to walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work under inclement weather conditions.
• Prior Foreman or Crew Lead experience.
• Experience operating small machinery such as Bobcat and other excavating equipment.
• Prior experience driving ½ or ¾ ton trucks with a 20+ ft trailer.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily tasks according to scheduled routes.
• Supervise and train a 2-3 person crew.
• Review daily work orders and verify materials for daily assignments.
• Adhere to safety standards and promote safety culture.
• Report project details, risks, and opportunities to Area Quality Managers.
• Assist crew with loading/unloading materials as needed.
• Assist with terrain preparation and compaction.
• Install silt fencing and erosion control blankets.
• Perform site clean-up and reload leftovers after job completion.
