Job summary

Charles Schwab Retirement Plan Services is seeking an experienced ERISA Compliance professional to join our on-site team in the Austin/Dallas area. You will perform complex testing, coordinate with ERISA Consulting and clients, and ensure timely reporting under IRS and DOL rules.

You’ll lead client engagements, review results with auditors, and mentor junior staff while contributing to process improvements in a collaborative Schwab environment that values in-person teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years in the qualified retirement plan industry with ERISA testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of IRS & DOL Code and Regulations and complex nondiscrimination testing.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills; proficient with Excel; ability to meet deadlines.
• Project leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ADP/ACP testing, Top Heavy testing, Coverage testing, 401(a)(4) Nondiscrimination testing, and Form 5500s within statutory timelines.
• Serve as liaison with ERISA Consulting, external clients, and Relationship Management for complex testing issues.
• Assist clients with allocations of employer contributions and specialized testing.
• Partner with Relationship Management and other teams to assist with client issues and external auditor requests.
• Serve as direct contact with plan sponsors and their external auditors to add value and retain clients.
• Serve as a resource for less experienced staff and complete peer review of assigned work.
• Take on additional project leadership responsibilities.
