VEG ER for Pets in Friendswood, TX seeks a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced emergency team. You will handle cases from triage through critical care, collaborating with doctors to deliver gold standard, emotionally intelligent care for pets and their owners.

The role emphasizes hands-on nursing, anesthesia, monitoring, and using advanced techniques while supporting a compassionate, team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in veterinary technology strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVMT) in the state of the VEG practice.
• 1+ year experience as a veterinary technician; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure.
• Able to stand, lift up to 25 kg, and work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Provide compassionate nursing care and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, and advanced therapies.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to maintain smooth patient flow and care plans.
