Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Veterinarian to join our network of veterinary hospitals in Calimesa, California. This permanent night position offers the chance to treat a variety of emergency cases with a collaborative team and access to high-quality resources.

The ideal candidate has a DVM, 5 years of practice, and strong communication skills to explain treatments to pet owners, while maintaining compassionate patient care in a fast-paced ER environment.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of practice as a veterinarian with significant emergency medicine experience.
• Board certification in ECC or ECC residency is highly desirable.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine.
• Excellent surgical skills, especially in emergency surgery.
• Exceptional communication skills with pet owners.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate care to emergency patients including examination, diagnostics, and treatment.
• Perform emergency surgeries as needed.
• Collaborate with veterinary professionals to ensure high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about condition, options and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in veterinary emergency medicine.
• Provide compassionate care to all patients and owners.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
