Job summary

Fort Washington Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Unit Support Coordinator for our Emergency Room who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

You will support departmental operations with effective communications, maintain a clean and safe workspace, handle physician orders, and perform clerical duties as directed, contributing to smooth patient flow and reliable record keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED
• At least 6 months experience working in a hospital or doctor’s office.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Proficient in PC, Internet, and email required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Training in data entry of clinical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support departmental operations by providing effective and timely communications, maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, maintaining data and related records, and performing clerical and other support services as directed.
• Responsible for processing physician orders, communication, and other general duties.
