Job summary

Fort Washington Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Unit Support Coordinator for our Emergency Room who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

The role supports departmental operations by providing effective communications, maintaining data and records, and performing clerical tasks. The position requires basic medical terminology knowledge, PC/Internet/email proficiency, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months hospital or doctor’s office experience.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient in PC, Internet, and e-mail.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Data entry of clinical systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support departmental operations with effective communications and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
• Process physician orders, communication, and other general duties.
