Job summary

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is seeking a Unit Service Technician for the Emergency Department. The role includes performing EKGs, phlebotomy, equipment cleaning, room stocking, and 1:1 patient transport under supervision of a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities also include clerical duties, paging, and ensuring patient flow and safety; the position requires adherence to Standard Precautions and strong customer service in a busy ED setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as medical technician or patient care assistant in emergency setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and CNA/EMT credentials or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide EKG, phlebotomy, and secretarial support under licensed nurse supervision.
• Transport patients safely and promptly within the ED.
• Maintain equipment, stocking, and routine cleaning to prevent infection.
• Assist with patient documentation and records using hospital systems.
