Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Per Diem Unit Service Technician for the Emergency Department. The role supports patient care by performing EKG, phlebotomy, equipment cleaning, room stocking, and 1:1 sitting as needed under licensed nurse supervision.

You will handle secretarial tasks, manage patient flow, and arrange ambulance transfers when necessary. A high school diploma is required, with preference for prior ED experience and healthcare-related certifications.

Qualifications

• ED: medical technician or patient care assistant in an Emergency setting preferred.
• OPIC, Perioperative, IV Therapy: experience as a medical technician or patient care assistant preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, often stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe environment and assist with patient movement using proper body mechanics.
• Perform secretarial duties to ensure efficient operation of the Emergency Department.
• Transport patients to testing procedures and ensure timely completion of testing.
• Perform EKG and phlebotomy under licensed nurse supervision and assist with patient procedures.
• Stock rooms and restock equipment as assigned.
