Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Successfully complete orientation and competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Answer a 13-line phone system and manage calls.
• Handle encounter scanning, copying and faxing.
• Page and contact physicians; coordinate with ED team.
• Arrange EMS transfers and radiology transportation.
• Monitor the 13-bed Patient Safety Surveillance system.
• Scan and file encounter documents into charts.
• Create daily physician on-call schedules.
• Maintain confidentiality and safety in patient care.
