Intermountain Health is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator in Brighton, CO, to support the Emergency Dept. The role focuses on patient admission/discharge, nurse-physician coordination, call-light response, and clerical duties within a fast-paced unit.

Responsibilities include managing patient records, transcribing orders, and ensuring smooth unit operations. The position is PRN, with shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Formación

• Demonstrated clerical or customer service experience.
• Preferred: Previous experience as a secretary in a hospital setting.
• Experience using EMR systems.
• Experience using word processing software.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer of patients; answer call lights; schedule tests and treatments; provide visitor access control; perform telemetry duties; may deliver medications to the RN.
• Answer unit telephones and disseminate information; process, organize, file, and maintain patient/unit records; transcribe physician orders; act as unit receptionist; organize and stock supplies.
• Collaborate with nursing manager and charge nurse; demonstrate teamwork; prioritize; communicate effectively; provide excellent customer service to patients, families, physicians, and staff.
