Job summary

American Family Care Norwood is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to care for patients within training scope and governing board guidelines. The APP collaborates with other providers to ensure efficient patient flow and high satisfaction. Duties and benefits may vary by franchise location.

Responsibilities include comprehensive histories, diagnostics, and treatment plans, with emphasis on patient education and safety. Active PA/NP licensure, DEA, and board certification are required.

Qualifications

• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA board certification required with ER/UC experience preferred.
• Active and current PA or NP licensure in the state of practice, plus DEA number and controlled substances certificate.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently with professional appearance and attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete health histories, review records, and order appropriate labs and imaging.
• Develop medical assessments and institute therapy or referrals as needed.
• Provide emergency measures and stabilization in critical situations.
• Interpret patient data to determine status and plan treatment.
• Educate patients and families on health care and prevention.
• Carry out other duties assigned.

Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) cares for our patients within the scope of training and approved the agreement, as outlined by their governing board. Works collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction. This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies appropriate for complaint, race, sex, and physical condition of the patient
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals of patients to the appropriate health care facilities, agencies, and other resources of the community or physician
• Institute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions
• Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management and treatment
• Provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and health care promotion to patients/family/ significant others
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
