Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) cares for patients within their scope of training and approved agreement, as outlined by their governing board. Collaborates with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high patient satisfaction. This position works directly with a franchised business location. Specific duties and benefits may vary between franchises.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed health histories, review patient records, develop medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies appropriate for the patient's condition.
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and initiate therapy or referrals to appropriate healthcare facilities, agencies, or physicians.
• Provide emergency measures and stabilization in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions.
• Interpret patient data to determine status and guide treatment.
• Educate patients and families about healthcare and health promotion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with staff, patients, and families.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Board Certified (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA) with preferred ER/UC experience.
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate as required.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
