Job summary

Dartmouth Health in Lebanon, NH is seeking a qualified Clinical Nurse for Emergency Department care. You will provide autonomous, evidence-based nursing care across acute and trauma settings, supporting a diverse patient population with complex needs.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, adherence to ethics, and collaboration within a high-volume Level 1 trauma center. Training and certifications are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required upon hire.
• ACLS Certificate required within 6 months of hire.
• PALS Certificate required within 6 months of hire.
• AVADE Workplace Violence Prevention Training within one year of hire.
• Moderate Sedation Training within one year of hire.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients.
• Identify and respond to changes in patient status, escalating as needed.
• Advocate for patients and uphold their autonomy per ANA Ethics.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to nursing practice improvement.
• Manage interactions and delegate appropriately within the care team.
