Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a Throughput Coordinator RN in Emergency Services at University Hospital, Columbia, MO. You will lead patient flow, adjust staffing, and guide nursing staff to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

The role requires Missouri RN licensure and at least 1 year of RN experience. This on-site position involves 3 nights per week (7pm–7:30am), with rotating holidays and weekend shifts in a busy ED environment.

Qualifications

• Missouri Board of Nursing RN licensure or MIC as applicable.
• At least 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nursing care within the RN scope, assess needs and set goals.
• Monitor and reassess pain using standard scales and document findings.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Lead patient flow and adjust staffing to support safety and throughput.
• Collaborate with nurses and providers to coordinate patient care plans.
