Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina seeks an RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput to ensure timely, safe, and well‑coordinated patient movement through the Emergency Department. You will align staffing, patient placement, and resources, delivering organized, patient‑centered care with leadership during urgent situations.

Qualifications

• RN license required, as stated in qualifications.
• ACLS within 90 days of start date.
• BCLS within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of start date.
• Bachelor's Degree or work experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers.
• Aligning staffing plans with patient volume, acuity, and department needs.
• Monitoring delays in care transitions and collaborating on solutions.
• Supporting safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes.
• Partnering with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers.
• Providing clinical guidance, escalation support, and patient care when needed.
